Correspondence Program(2003-2006)

Eligibility : Graduate in any Discipline (Maths not Compulsory)

No. of seats in Correspondence Program : 120

Duration : 3 Years

Degree : The Degree of MCA shall be awarded by Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar (Haryana) « The students leaving the course after completing first year will be awarded Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications. « The students leaving the course after completing 2nd Year course will be awarded M.Sc. (Computer Science) degree and after completion of all the 3 years, they will be awarded the degree of MCA.

Selection Procedure : Through Written Entrance Exam, Group Discussion and Interview.

Lateral Entry : Students who have done PGDCA can directly take admission in M.Sc. (Computer Science) i.e. second year of MCA Program.

Mode Of Imparting Learning :
i) Printed lessons/Books to be provided to all students.
ii) Personal Contact Program at the University Campus/Delhi School of e-Learning.

Personal Contact Program : Personal Contact Program will be organized in each semester/year as per the following norms:
Theory : 10-15 hours for each course Practical : 15-20 hours
1) Ten days Personal Contact Program giving 40 hours theory teaching and 20 hours of practical laboratory training per semester at the concerned nodal center.
2) 50 percent attendance in theory and 75 percent attendance in practical is compulsory, how ever the students who do not wish to attend PCP may be exempted from PCP provided that they give an undertaking to the effect that they would arrange for practicals/theory at their own level and also seek exemption from the Directorate of Distance Education on the recommendations of coordinators
3) Personal Contact Program will be held at Delhi School of e-Learning, in New Delhi .

Course Fee :
I Year : Rs 12,500 (Rupees Twelve Thousand Five hundred only)
II Year : Rs 12,500 (Rupees Twelve Thousand Five hundred only)
III Year : Rs 15,000 (Rupees fifteen Thousand only)

Note : The students who will enroll themselves in correspondence course shall not be given any Job Guarantee, however, they shall be eligible for Placement Assistance on Successful Completion of their Course.
