Entrance Examination

 

Written Examination :

The candidates will be tested in one paper of 100 questions of 2 hours duration. The question paper consist of multiple choice type questions and are set in English medium only. The question paper will be divided in 4 part i.e. Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Comprehension Test .

Each part consists of 25 questions. To attempt maximum number of questions correctly, the candidates are advised to attempt those questions to start with, about which they are fully confident. The questions which need some more time to answer must be skipped initially and if after attempting other questions there is some time left, it can then be devoted to the left-out questions. A candidate who achieves a good score in these tests may get the benefit of being placed higher in the order of merit if he/she finally makes it in the interview. Some objective type questions which are common to most of the entrance examinations are given below:

Quantitative Aptitude : Simple arithmetic problems of Matric Examination standard. Questions are based on Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and Statistics.

Logical Reasoning : These could include a statement on which the candidates are asked to draw correct interference out of the given choices. There could be questions on series of words and figures, arrangement of alphabets, brain teasers or even such questions as only call for drawing logical inferences.

General Awareness : The test of general awareness aims to judge the general knowledge of the candidates. Basic facts about all aspects of general knowledge like General Science, Geography, History, Economics, Politics and Current affairs etc are essentially required to be known.

Comprehension Test : Comprises of the test of English Language to judge the general understanding of English Language by the candidates.
