Teaching Methodology :

The curriculum design and pedagogy of the program seeks to emphasize the enhancement of abilities and skills of the participants with overall personality development. To achieve this purpose DSeL follows an interactive mode of teaching which is patterned on the following mix:

Topical lectures and tutorials :

Case studies based on real life problems faced by business organizations/industry.
Group Discussions, Role Plays and Presentations.
Management Games and Simulation Exercises.
Seminars
Company assigned projects and other modern teaching aids
Guest speakers from industry and specialized institution
Brain stilling sessions & Brain storming sessions
News analysis and Debates

Internal Evaluation System :

The academic evaluation system synthesizes a continuous process of assignment. The evaluation system at DSeL is designed to keep students continually informed of their performance in relation to the required standards of academic achievement. DSeL follows an alphabetic grading system for evaluating the students' performance for internal assessment. Marks are awarded to the students after the end of each term on the basis of their attendance,discipline, participation in class etc.

Discipline :

Participation in class and co-curricular activities

Observance of rules regarding timely deposit of fees/dues, library rules and other    rules/orders issued by the institute from time to time.

Class participation, term papers, mid term tests, projects, quizzes, assignments    etc.

Meditation :

Morning Sadhna (Meditation) helps in attaining mental peace, purity of thought and a balanced personality to all members of the DSeL family. It also enhances the efficiency and effectiveness leading to greater productivity and quality.

Personal Contact Forum :

Personal Contact Forum (PCF) is a distinguishing feature at DSeL which is a daily activity to help the future managers in discovering their inner self, so that they are able to transform their personalities. All the students are divided into smaller groups headed by a faculty in charge whose main role is to act as a facilitator in the process of discovery of the eternal truth.

Practical Industrial Program :

Practical Industrial Program (PIP) is to provide a distinct advantage to the students. The student managers are assigned research projects in each semester which helps in continuous interaction with the industry. The projects are undertaken on the basis of the demand from the industry. Generally, there is one supervisor from DSeL and one from the concerned unit. The best reports are duly awarded.

Executive Club :

The student managers have different forums for sharing of information not only amongst the students but also with the corporate world. There are many activities, which are organized by the students like seminars, workshops, guest lectures, etc. Everyday the student managers organize events like news analysis and review of research papers, which keep them updated with the latest developments and innovations.

Extra-Curricular Activities :

DSeL lays special emphasis on co-curricular activities for all round development of the student managers. A cultural activity calendar is prepared by the cultural committee, a student body, with active guidance from the faculty. The cultural committee organizes a gamut of activities for the display and development of creative talent on the campus. DSeL also emphasizes on recreational activities for all round development of the student managers.

Industry Orientation :

DSeL ensures an effective academic-cum-professional interface between the institution and industry, which emphasizes on practical orientation, DSeL shall organize periodic visits of students to reputed companies and their plants to facilitate:

Familiarity with the functioning of organizations as an update of their course content.

Interaction of students with industry through in course projects (Practical Industrial Program - PIP) and summer projects.

Structuring to match the changing needs of industry.
